This Western style chef knife was hand forged from 80CRV2 steel. The knife has been hardened and tempered to hold a razor sharp edge, perfect for any food processing task. An excellent jack of all trades knife that will easily become your go to knife in the kitchen. The knife features a tall double bevel, and scandi grind edge. The knife has an amount of rust resistant, being made from 80CRV2, but should still be kept clean, dry, and oiled for best longevity. The knife steel does have a tendency to blue when exposed to acidic foods for lengths of time, this is normal and to be expected of high carbon steel kitchen knives. If desired, any staining can be removed with a light rubbing compound, but personally I like the natural staining color, and personality that it gives a knife, much like a well used Wok. The handle is made from red oak, ebony, and acrylic, with copper pins. Comes with a handmade oak holder with copper lock pin.
