This hand forged kaiken was made from W2 high carbon steel. The blade has been heat treated and tempered to be razor sharp and durable. The Hamon line was made in the traditional fashion, using furnace cement on the spine during hardening. The kaiken features a red cedar Saya and brass habakki. The knife's handle is made from red cedar with an aluminum handle pin.
