Hand Forged Japanese Tanto, Hamon Line

This hand forged Tanto was made from W2 high carbon steel. The blade has been heat treated and tempered to be razor sharp and durable. The Hamon line was made in the traditional fashion, using furnace cement on the spine during hardening. The Tanto features an engraved habbaki with cherry blossom design, and Lichtenberg wood burnt, red oak Saya. The tanto's handle is made from spalted maple with brass pins.
